Dallas Immigration Attorneys is a bilingual immigration practice serving families, workers, and employers across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, with clients in all 50 states represented by phone and video. Family petitions, green cards, citizenship, asylum, deportation defense, and employer sponsorship make up the core of our work, handled in English and Spanish by a team that has been doing this, and only this, since 2015.
Our founding attorney, Kate Lincoln-Goldfinch, did not plan on immigration law. She enrolled in the Immigration Clinic at the University of Texas School of Law because she spoke Spanish and wanted to work in social justice. Her first clinic assignment sent her to the T. Don Hutto detention facility in Taylor, Texas, where she sat across from a detained family seeking asylum, holding their infant daughter while the parents described what they had fled.
That family’s case became one of her first: she represented them, and they won asylum. The experience settled the question of what her career would be. In 2015, she opened her own practice with a single conviction at its center: that people navigating the immigration system deserve a legal team that treats their case with the same urgency their family feels.
That one-attorney practice has grown into a team of more than 100 attorneys, paralegals, and client-care professionals who have served hundreds of clients. The growth changed our size, never our structure: every case still gets reviewed by multiple attorneys before anything is filed, every client still gets updates in plain language, and every strategy still starts with an honest assessment of the odds, including the times when our honest advice is to wait or to take a different path.
Our Dallas office extends that model to North Texas. Consultations, document preparation, and interview and hearing preparation all happen here, and our attorneys appear with clients at USCIS interviews in Irving and hearings at the Dallas Immigration Court downtown.
Dallas holds one of the largest and most varied immigrant communities in the United States. Walk through Oak Cliff, Vickery Meadow, Bachman Lake, or Pleasant Grove and you will hear the languages of five continents spoken by people building businesses, raising families, and holding up entire industries across the metroplex. What too many of them cannot find is legal help that speaks their language, explains the process honestly, and answers the phone after the retainer is signed.
We opened in Dallas to be that answer. The need here is enormous, the stakes under current enforcement conditions are higher than they have been in years, and we believe families in North Texas should have the same standard of representation we have spent a decade building.
Many members of our team are immigrants or the children of immigrants. They have personally been through consular interviews, marriage-based petitions, Deferred Action renewals, and humanitarian applications, on the applicant’s side of the table. When someone on our staff tells you what a USCIS notice means or what an interview feels like, that knowledge often comes from lived experience as much as legal training. Every person who works on your case communicates in English and Spanish, so your story never passes through a translation layer before it reaches your legal team.

We name our credentials specifically so you can check them. Our founding attorney has been named to the Texas Super Lawyers list every year since 2019, received the Austin Bar Association’s David H. Walter Community Excellence Award and the Travis County Women Lawyers Pathfinder’s Award, and has been featured by NBC, BBC, and The New York Times on immigration policy. She co-founded the nonprofit VECINA, which mobilizes volunteer attorneys to provide legal aid during migration crises, has served as chair of its board of directors, and served as the City of Austin’s Commissioner on Immigrant Affairs on behalf of the American Immigration Lawyers Association’s Texas chapter. She is licensed by the State Bar of Texas.
Legal information protects people whether or not they ever hire a lawyer, so we give a great deal of it away. Our team publishes free Know Your Rights materials and Safety Planning Guides in English and Spanish, answers breaking immigration questions in live sessions and short videos, and holds community workshops that we are now bringing to the Dallas area.
